Big Brother 8 is the eighth series of Big Brother SAA. It started on the 30th August 2016 and ended on the 14th September 2016. Lasting 21 days, it is the shortest series of BBUK to date. Margaery won this series, winning 1000 Robux, while her coach, Heather, won 250 Robux. In addition her other team mates, Justin & Emma, each won 100 Robux.
On launch, 12 new housemates entered alongside 4 former winners who each coached a team of 3 housemates. Two more housemates entered during the series, replacing others who had been ejected. This is the only series not to feature shopping tasks.
Tasks & Twists
Twists
- On Day 1, The housemates were informed of the team twist and they were told that four former winners would be joining them to lead each team. On Day 2, Big Brother announced that there would be no shopping tasks and instead the teams would compete in challenges for powers over nominations and other twists.
- On Day 3, Following the first team challenge, Winners Team Yellow were told that they would be given the power to nominate one person each. While runners-up Green was granted two immunity passes, he chose Kate & Chloe.
- On Day 6, The whole of Team Red was granted immunity following the team challenge. While the last placing team, Green was banned from making nominations.
- On Day 9, Team Yellow was granted immunity while the leader of the last placing team, Enzo, had to nominate one of his teammates for eviction automatically. He chose Kate.
- On Day 12, Team Yellow was granted immunity for the second week in a row, and members of the team were given the power to make one of their nominations count for two. While losers Team Green, were only allowed to nominate one person each.
- On Day 15, Team Red's leader, Brooklyn. Was given the power to swap one of her teammates for another person in the house. While Team Yellow were each given penalty nominations for losing the team challenge.
Tasks
Unlike all previous seasons of Big Brother UK, shopping tasks were scrapped for this series and were replaced by 'team challenges' which took place every week to determine the rankings of the four teams.

At the start of the task, the housemates must balance themselves on a tilted surfboard for five minutes. Furthermore, each board has a different difficulty. Meaning that the teams must decide who is going on what board. |

| 3 | 02/09/16 | Team Maze In this challenge, two members from each team will race through a two story maze. One member will begin by pushing a ball through the top floor and then the second member will push the ball through the bottom floor. The first team to successfully complete both mazes will win. |

| 3 | 05/09/16 | Four Corners This challenge will be played out in multiple rounds. In each round, one member from each team will compete in a sword fight. With the last housemate standing winning their team a point. At the end of the challenge, the team with the most points win. |

On Day 1, the housemates were split into four teams. Each led by one of the four mentors. Each week, they competed in team challenges for rewards and punishments.
